The comedian got hitched to girlfriend Anne Stringfield, 35, in a surprise ceremony at the weekend.

Friends – including Tom Hanks and Diane Keaton – were simply invited for a 'party' at 61-year-old's Steve's LA home - and only found out about the nuptials after they arrived.

And Steve kept well-wishers grinning by sporting an Inspector Clouseau moustache from the Pink Panther movies.

It was Steve's second wedding. His 8-year marriage to actress Victoria Tennant ended in 1994.

Ask any woman who watched Celebrity Love Island [2005] whose figure they most admired and, nine times out of 10, the answer would be Jayne Middlemiss's.

But then that's probably as much to do with the fact that she seems so comfortable in her skin, which she resolutely confirms.

'I don't care what my body looks like any more,' she says. 'I've got to the age where it's no longer about who I am.'

It's this refreshing attitude that made Jayne such a hit with viewers, helping her to win the TV reality show with Fran Cosgrave. But she admits that she wasn't always so laid back about her figure.

In her late teens, before she began a TV career that has seen her present shows including The Games and Robot Wars, Jayne worked as a model, when criticism for being too fat led her to bingeing on laxatives, resulting in her weight plummeting to 8st 7lb.

'I wasn't a Kate Moss and that was what they wanted,' she has said of this time. 'It was destructive to my sense of self-worth.'

Thankfully, those days are now firmly in the past and she attributes her self-confidence – no mean feat when your figure is on display to thousands of viewers – partly to yoga, which keeps her in shape and has taught her self-acceptance.

'Yoga helps me stay fit, but it's also helped to calm me and made me realise there are more important things in life than the size of my arse,' she laughs.

Yoga originates from India and incorporates a series of postures that work to tone and stretch the body, stimulate the internal organs and work as a form of meditation.

In fact, Jayne was such a bundle of energy on the TV show – one minute abseiling down cliffs, the next mountain biking – it's hard to imagine her being the type of person who would be attracted to yoga. But, as she explains, that's exactly why it's so good for her and has even helped her to hold her razor-sharp tongue in check.

'It's definitely helped make me a more patient person, although I'm working on it because I can still be quite intolerant!' she admits frankly.

Jayne has been practising yoga for a long time, as anyone watching her performing headstands on the TV reality show would have guessed.

'I've been doing it for years,' she says. 'I did a style known as Bikram yoga, which is a series of postures practised in a room heated to about 100 degrees farenheit, but I've switched to Ashtanga.'

While both forms of yoga are built on the same principles, Bikram yoga is particularly good for helping people stretch further because of the heated conditions, while Ashtanga – which includes Madonna as a fan – is more dynamic, with each posture connected to the next by a series of flowing movements.
I've relaxed into life
Although yoga does burn calories, Jayne admits she thinks about doing some other form of cardio exercise.

Before participating in Love Island, Jayne says she never drank and was often in bed by midnight, whereas now she's more relaxed about her lifestyle.

'I was very healthy but very controlled before I went on the show and I wasn't having much fun, to be honest,' she admits. 'Now, although I still do yoga, I've relaxed into life.'

That was clear to all those watching Jayne knocking back the cocktails on the Fijian island.

That said, she remains health conscious when it comes to her diet. 'I always start the morning with fruit and then I'll have green vegetables and salad for lunch and perhaps fish or chicken for dinner,' she says. 'To be honest, I listen to what my body wants – and if I want a pudding, I'll have one.'

'She was charged with a misdemeanor. There is a potential for additional charges.'

Earlier this month, a Sunday newspaper published photos that allegedly showed Lindsay doing cocaine in a nightclub toilet.

Her mother Dina told US Weekly: 'All she wants to do is act and have a somewhat normal life.'

Bidders, who'd already paid between $16,000 and $50,000 for a ticket to attend, were competing for a getaway package, when generous George, 46, offered to pucker up for the winner, too.

One woman's husband paid £180,000 for his wife to enjoy a smooch with the star, which obviously gave everyone else the idea, as he puckered up for a second time later on, doubling his contributions to £360,000.

Other stars also stepped up in the name of charity - Kylie performed an impromptu version of The Locomotion, raising £100,000.

The event raised a total of £7.5 million - not bad for one night's work.

According to Maxim magazine, at least this month, she's the hottest woman in the world.

The Georgia Rule actress-troublemaker tops the magazine's eighth annual Hot 100 list, a ranking by editors weighing buzz and beauty for women in film, TV, music, sports and fashion.

"There is no other star in the world (who) causes more of a stir in the public eye than Lindsay," said Maxim editor in chief Jimmy Jellinek in a statement. "Her every move is watched and reported on."

Jackie Chan vs. Jet Li, the kung fu movie fan's fantasy has become reality.

Chan and Li are currently in China shooting their first movie together, the Hollywood production "The Forbidden Kingdom," and Chan said in his Chinese-language blog Thursday they recently shot their first on-screen duel.

"I finally 'fought' with Jet Li today. We've never fought before having known each other for so many years," Chan said in an entry dated last week.

Chan said the fight scene went smoothly and the two actors finished what was expected to be a daylong shoot in a few hours.

"The short sparring that lasted a few moves went very smoothly. It was like fighting with a brother from the same school of martial arts. We blended easily on every move, be it in terms of timing or rhythm," he said.

"The feeling was like shooting with Sammo Hung or Yuen Biao. Whether it's a look, an expression or a turn, we were well coordinated. It feels great," Chan wrote, referring to two fellow action stars.

He added he and Li also worked well with choreographer Yuen Woo-ping, who designed action sequences for "The Matrix" trilogy.

"We worked together seamlessly," Chan said.

"The Forbidden Kingdom" is about an American teenager's fantasy journey to ancient China to rescue a mythological monkey king. The idea for the film originates with the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West," in which a monkey king, a pig and a friar help guard a Buddhist monk searching for religious texts.

Li will play the monkey king and a silent monk, while Chan will play another monk called T'sa-Ho.

Chan and Li offer a contrast in martial arts styles. Chan, trained in Peking Opera, is known for his defensive, dance-like moves while Li, a former national kung fu champion in China, tends to dominate his on-screen opponents.

Chan said in his English blog the crew had finished shooting in the Gobi Desert and moved on to Wuyi mountains in the eastern Fujian province.

He said he enjoyed shooting in the dessert.

"Seeing the vast expanses of sand, blue sky, and white clouds combined with no traffic congestion and no gossip from Hong Kong newspapers, made me feel completely relaxed," Chan wrote.

Sylvester Stallone has pleaded guilty this morning to taking banned muscle-building drugs into Australia.

The Rocky star's lawyers entered the guilty plea before Sydney's Darling Centre Local Court.

Sly, 60, apologised in a letter for the incident in February, saying: 'I made a terrible mistake, not because I was attempting to deceive anyone but I was simply ignorant to your official rules.

Lawyer Philip Boulten explained that his client had been prescribed Jintropin, a human growth hormone product, for medical reasons.

Things took a real downward turn after Tom flew back to the UK on his own after a tour of Japan.

Actress and presenter Sherrie Hewson was devastated when her marriage of 22 years ended in divorce. Then, as she began to rebuild her life, she noticed she was losing her hair.

'It happened gradually, so I didn't take much notice at first,' she says.

Nine months later, though, Sherrie began to panic as her hair thinned so dramatically that she could see her scalp. 'I was terrified I'd go bald.'

The 56-year-old, who played Lesley Meredith in Emmerdale, was suffering from alopecia. This often starts with small patches of hair loss, but in extreme cases can lead to total baldness. It's believed the immune system mistakes parts of the body as foreign matter and attacks it. White blood cells gather round the follicles, causing inflammation that weakens hair, making it fall out.

Breaking-up made my hair fall out
Although no one's sure what triggers the condition, it's thought to be due to genetic factors, an infection or emotional distress – such as Sherrie's marriage split two years ago.

'The stress of the break-up must have brought it on,' she says. Last year TV presenter Gail Porter lost her hair after splitting from husband Dan Hipgrave (she now shaves her head bald), while former Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker puts her alopecia down to hormonal changes.

Unfortunately, there's no guarantee hair will grow back. Even if it does, the shock of losing your hair can be devastating. 'It's harder for a woman to lose her hair than for a man,' Sherrie says. 'It's your femininity, your sexiness.'

I was too embarrassed to tell anyone
Indeed, Sherrie was too self-conscious to talk about her condition at first, so she hid it with the help of Emmerdale's hair stylists, who'd sew in hair pieces. Finally, she confided in a friend, who told her about a treatment he'd seen on TV.

Called BX3.4, a 'helmet' emits electromagnetic waves to stimulate the scalp. 'Within a few weeks, I started to see regrowth,' she says.

It's been a gradual process, but seven months on the actress says she looks and feels better than ever. 'My hair's grown back really well and is still growing. Life is good.'

The stomach can be made smaller or bigger over time
But since Roseanne's gastric bypass in March 1998, a safer alternative has been developed. Known as laproscopic gastric band surgery, it's the most commonly performed 'stomach stapling' procedure in the UK.

Performed via keyhole surgery, it's less invasive and involves a tube being inserted around the stomach to create a small pouch, with the same results as stomach stapling. Because the small intestine isn't bypassed, the absorption of minerals and nutrients isn't affected and the band's adjustability means the stomach can be made smaller or bigger over time.

But surgeons are keen to point out that it isn't a miracle cure that will overcome the emotional and psychological compulsion to overeat from which obese patients often suffer.

The Manchester-based tattooist is the man Becks trusts

Louis Molloy has confirmed to Nowmagazine.co.uk that he is the man who created David Beckham's new tattoo.

Becks has been popping into Louis's Middleton tattoo studio for years and has built up a relationship of trust with the body artist. He flew home from Madrid to get his latest ink creation.

'I completed the work four weeks ago,' reveals Louis, 44. 'I did the design - which is basically a guardian angel engulfed in flames with the phrase "Let them hate as long as they fear". He saw it and liked it.'

Reports have suggested that David was inspired to have his forearm densely tattooed by a character in Prison Break but Louis reckons that's not true.

'No. He's always said about having a large piece of work done,' he insists. 'This one took about six hours – I did it in just session. And knowing David, he probably will have more.

'I think it's fair to say no one really enjoys getting tattoos as obviously it's not a nice feeling but David's quite good. He stays calm.'

Actor denies rumours he's due to become a dad

It seems that Leonardo DiCaprio isn't about to become a daddy after all.

And the actor has said that rumours he's to become a father are complete nonsense.

It was reported yesterday that his Israeli model girlfriend Bar Rafaeli is expecting their first child in the autumn, but Leo, 32, says the story is false.

'The story is totally b**l s**t. 100 per cent made up b*****ks,' his representative told US Weekly magazine.

The Titanic star is also said to have proposed to Bar, 21, during their recent trip to Israel. Rumours were rife the couple held a secret engagement party in Tel Aviv.

If the couple do marry in Israel this summer, with a larger celebration in the US later in the year, then maybe then Leo will hear the patter of little DiCaprio feet.

Oasis star will go it alone

Noel Gallagher is planning to release a solo album.

And the Oasis rocker, 39, says he already has a number of songs ready to record on his own.

'I've got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up,' he tells NME magazine. 'I've got about four or five songs which are probably too far in the past as far as the band is concerned, but which could work on my record. I don't know for sure but it looks like it's coming.'

But Noel's album may not be out for a while because he's struggling to find a time to record it.

'The thing about a solo record is that the time to do one is between Oasis world tours because I'd have a couple of years,' he says. 'But it takes me so long to write the songs I eventually run out of time before Oasis begins again.'

LA Galaxy will charge supporters just £5 to see David Beckham make his summer debut.

The club has told fans by email that the former England captain, 31, will play his first match on 23 August.

And it's offering a bargain two-match ticket deal of just £10, or £5 a game. A considerable reduction on the cost of watching Becks play for his former teams Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Rapper Snoop Dogg has been spared a jail term after admitting being in possession of drugs and a gun.

The 35-year-old – real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus Junior – was given a three year suspended sentence, five years' probation and 800 hours community service by a Los Angeles court.

The star was arrested at an LA airport last October on suspicion of carrying marijuana. Police later found a gun at his home.

But due to his guilty plea, Snoop escaped a possible four-year prison sentence.

His defence lawyer Donald Etra explained that the musician smokes marijuana because he has migraines and has a medical permit under state law.

This isn't the rapper's first appearance in court. In 1996 he was cleared of murder after a man was shot dead from a car he was riding in.

After splitting with James Blunt in February, how's Petra Nemcova enjoying the single life?

"I am having a great time!" the model, 27, told PEOPLE Tuesday in New York City at the Br!ck Awards, which honor young people working toward social change.

She and the "You're Beautiful" singer met in December 2005 and started dating the following year. Last month, a source close to Blunt told PEOPLE the breakup was "very amicable – they remain good friends."

She could have launched a perfume or designed a range for the High Street, but instead, Geri Halliwell has chosen to launch herself into a new career as a children's author.

The former Spice Girl, 34, says she began putting pen to paper when she became pregnant with her daughter Bluebell Madonna, now 11 months old.

Geri - who has published two autobiographies – was signed up by Macmillan Children's Books after calling the managing director of the publishing house out of the blue.

Her book's heroine is nine-year-old Ugenia Lavender.

'Writing for me feels like home. I've always written,' says Geri. 'At school I loved writing stories and creating mini-worlds where anything can happen.

'As a Spice Girl I wrote lyrics for many of our hits and have continued to do so in my solo career.

'Ugenia's friends and family are well-rounded misfits that we recognise in our everyday lives.'

Madonna is reportedly taking baby David to visit his dad, farmer Yohane Banda in Malawi.

The New York Post claims the 48-year-old superstar also has a different agenda during her visit to Africa this weekend. They say she is on the brink of adopting another orphan.

The last film Anna Nicole Smith made before her death is to receive its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

The movie will now be shown at the festival shortly after it comes out on DVD on 1 May in the US.
